Safeguarding
We regard it as our duty to uphold the rights of children and young people.
Everyone – every girl and every boy – has the right
- to feel at ease in Owingen Library.
- to put forward ideas about how the library is run.
- to have their feelings respected.
- to have their privacy respected.
- to be protected from sexual abuse.
- to be supported if their feelings or their privacy are violated.
No one has the right
- to hurt others through looks, words, actions, photos or videos.
- to humiliate, frighten or harass anyone through rituals, games or other means.
- to talk anyone into, or force anyone into, exchanging intimacies, undressing, or doing anything inappropriate.
- to treat others with disrespect or to disregard their personal privacy.
It is never funny when someone violates your rights!
Asking for help is not telling tales!

Safeguarding
We earn real respect when we seek contact with one another and understand and accept each other's values. That is how we can come to admire and appreciate one another.
